What brought you to GOPD?

I worked for a large dealer in Nashville, and we had moved to Arizona, and I was looking for a new career path. I learned that there was a position open with GOPD, and I applied for the training position.  Donna gave me a call, and the interview went very well.  I knew found my new home!   I was really excited because I knew I would be working with a lot of great customers.

Can you describe what a normal day is like in your role?

There isn’t really anything “normal” — I don’t have a normal day, which is good for me! I like that because I like having something new and challenging every day.  I spend my time speaking with dealers one on one to answer questions.  I head up the training department, and we customize the training for each dealer.  I have learned that It’s important to know the right questions to ask and to be able to make recommendations to help them with their workflow.

What is your favorite thing about working at GOPD?

I like working for GOPD for a lot of reasons —  I get to work from home.  I have never worked for a company before GOPD where I really loved who I worked with. I love everybody; we all get along well, we all support each other, and if I have a question, I have others I can ask for help, and if others need help, they can ask me. All of us just click, so I love working for the company.

What is your favorite thing about working with GOPD’s customers/dealers?

The day-to-day interaction with dealers is a big plus and very rewarding.  I’ve developed friendships with several of the dealers.  What I like most about working with the dealers is having the opportunity to help them.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I’m an avid reader. I read anything from science fiction, espionage, history, and romance; pretty much the only thing I don’t read is horror. I loved making jewelry, and I’m thinking of getting back into that. I still have all of my materials and tools. I’m also thinking about trying diamond painting.

Do you have any pets?

I have two Chihuahua mixes. They were rescues in Arizona. One is Chica, and one is Zuma. Zuma is kind of like the little brat — he’s six or seven now, but he’s still a little troublemaker, he’s so cute. Chica is older; she’s actually the alpha of the two. Whatever she does, he does. He just really won’t do anything without her. They’re good puppies. They’re in here right now! I love them, they’re my babies.

What’s your favorite place in the world?

I do like islands and beaches, but I also like mountains and forests.  If I had to choose, I would choose the mountains because I love forested areas and the wildlife.  I live in a wooded area right now, and we get to see deer from time to time, and some foxes, and of course, raccoons. It would be even more so if I were living in the Smokies or the North Georgia mountains.
